Sex on a Plate…Food as Seduction

My dear friend (whom I unfortunately yet to meet in person) Jennifer Iannolo, has this phrase - it’s actually more of a passion for her - ’sex on a plate’. Every time I hear her utter those words, I think about all of the ways that food and sex are intertwined.
Traditionally, food has always been considered an aphrodisiac. Whipping cream, chocolate sauce, oysters. All rumoured to be aphrodisiacs, and all guaranteed to make anyone who has played with any of those foods in an amorous way smirk.
While those foods are fine, and yeah, they can be fun, there are several other foods that can ignite passion, and usually don’t leave the sheets all sticky and mucky.
Spicy Chocolate - Yes, Hershey’s chocolate sauce is ok, and in fact, a little pedestrian, but chile spiced Mexican chocolate (like Montezuma downed daily; he had 200 wives to pleasure after all!) heats up the body, and the chocolate stimulates the production of endorphins - the source of all pleasure. Pick up some Mexican chocolate from a gourmet foods store, stir in some spices and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate with your lover, slowly and sensually.
Honey - Ok, so this one could get a little sticky. Honey has a different feel than chocolate - it’s not contrived, it’s tasty, and those little bees are damn busy! They’re making love to the flowers whenever the stop to collect pollen… why not slowly drip, drizzle and paint your lover with honey, leaving her sticky, sweet and sinful.
Ice - Normally, cold is anything but sexy, but much like hot candle wax, ice can be used creatively. Chill sex toys, hold an ice cube in your teeth and run it over her curves. Better, blindfold her and play with temperature - alternating between ice cubes and hot wax, especially when it’s unexpected, can create some very, very arousing situations.
What are some of your favorite foods to play with, enjoy, and well…. fuck around with?
